Event track:
The Anthropocene: An urban planet

In June 2016, the community living in the Gereba favela outside the Brazilian city of Fortaleza invited a group of filmmakers and scientists to make a virtual reality (VR) film about life on the edge. The experience is unforgettable as the viewer finds hope, creativity, ingenuity and even a ballet school on the city’s landfill site.

Speakers:

Maria Schewenius (Stockholm Resilience Centre),
Owen Gaffney (Future Earth Media Lab, Stockholm Resilience Centre)
